A Semester of Achievements for Tenuta Carretta Wines

As we reach the halfway mark of the year, it’s time to review and share a selection of the best results we’ve achieved in 2024.
This period has been both intense and rewarding, filled with active participation in numerous events and relentless work in the vineyard and cellar to perfect our wines. We’re delighted to see that our efforts have been recognized with prestigious awards, validating the quality of our work and encouraging us to continue celebrating the rich winemaking heritage of Piedmont.
Our wines have received exceptional scores: the Cannubi cru was honored by Jamessuckling.com with 94 points for both Barolo DOCG Cannubi Riserva 2018 – described as “traditional, austere, and outstanding” – and Barolo DOCG Cannubi 2019, praised as an “outstanding Cannubi to take home. Already delicious, but will hold well”.
Among other highlights, Barbaresco DOCG Riserva Cascina Bordino 2018 was awarded 91 points by Jeb Dunnuck, with Audrey Frick describing it as “true to the vintage, with a lot of freshness and charm”. It also received 91 points from Jamessuckling.com and 17.5 from Weinheiten.ch. Excellent results were also achieved by Barolo DOCG Cascina Ferrero 2020 (93 points – Jamessuckling.com) and Barbaresco DOCG Garassino 2020 (91 points – Jamessuckling.com).
In the white wines category, Roero Arneis DOCG Riserva Canorei 2021 received 92 points from Jamessuckling.com and 17.5 from Weinheiten.ch. As for bubbles, Alta Langa Pas Dosé 2019 was praised by VertdeVin for its “beautiful persistence on freshness” earning 93 points.
